1926 Studebaker Coach ER
I am the 3rd owner. Owner #2 restored the car. I have the original title, not a copy! It runs and drives wonderfully for 82 years of age. I drove it at 40 mph today before taking the pictures! The engine is original to the car and is a 50 H.P. standard Six. It is 3 speed. The wheels are wooden spoked with 1926 being the last year that studebaker did so. The brakes are mechanical as a result not hydrolic. I have the original jack and tire tools and 3 extra vintage oil filters that will go with the car along with a number of other extras. The odometer and clock do not work, but the speedometer does work. Everything else on the car works fine. The car was tuned by Barry Holley recently a full time classic car mechanic and one of the Country's greatest Studebaker collectors. The Fuel tank was recently completely rebuilt but is the original tank. The only non original item on the car is the trunk. There is a slight leak in the seal over the shaft leading into the water pump but this is very manageable and repairable. All in all it is a real honey but college tuition is looming so I must say good-bye!
