1930 Vintage California HOT ROD.
All Steel including fenders.
This is NOT a 1-800 Hot Rod.
I am a metalworker who happens to love cars especially the ones
that could be on the cover of Architectural Digest.
This is one of 7 classic cars and trucks I'm selling to build a new house.
Purchased 5 years ago from California.
This Hot Rod has been inspected by Bill Sinclair
Author of many books on Ford Flatheads.
This is the real thing.
According to the previous owner who is now 87 years old
this car ran at Bonneville with a blower
and a more limited steering set up.
It also was equipped with a Halibrand Rear and a 4 spoke steering wheel.
The car is now equipped with a Lincoln rear,cross steering and a new Grant wheel.
The car is a pleasure to drive now.
Taken on a 100mi. trip last fall it ran flawlessly and got 20MPG.
The engine is a Late model flathead.
Bored and stroked with high compression heads.
It Idles like a new Honda but will pull until good sense tells you to back off.
Three Original Stromberg 97s all work great.
The 3-speed manual is perfectly suited gearing to allow long runs in each gear.
