1933 Ford Phaeton *Mint Condition*Classic!*
When these cars where built in 1933 the ones destined for Australia were sent unassembled, so as to facilitate assembly there with right hand controls. The American Phaetons had only two hinges on the centerpost between the front and rear doors, making it difficult to align both doors. The Fomoco Engineers in Australia improved upon this design by adding two more hinges on the centerpost to carry the back door. Hence the reference to "Australian Bodied". Very rare here in the U.S., in fact, the only one I've ever seen or heard of.

The stock Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels are not what I could called 'Freeway Driving' quality. They are stock ford 5 lug" Centers and are adapted to the Jaguar hubs set up with a standard GM.5 Lug holds 4 3/4" centers through the use of wheel adapters, a common practice on street rods so different style wheels may be used. All that is necessary is for the new owner to select whatever style rim he chooses and make sure those rims have the correct back spacing and to be drilled the G.M. 5 on 4 3/4" Lug holes. After unbolting the wire wheels and adapters, he would then need to bolt his rims of choice directly to the jaguar hubs.
