1940 Buick Super Eight 2 door coupe Hot Rod Chevy V8
A nice 1940 Buick Super Eight Special.
The car has a rebuilt 4 bolt main Chevy 350 V8
and a 4-speed overdrive 700R4 automatic transmission.
The engine has a mild cam, a Holley 650 carb, and an Edelbrock performer intake.
The HEI electronic ignition gives it plenty of spark.
The front frame and suspension is from a 70s GM car with independent suspension,
power steering, and power disc brakes.
The rear is a 12 bolt rear with a 4-link and coil springs.
The body is an older restoration in good shape.
The paint is glossy and holds a nice shine.
The body, floors, trunk, and rockers are rust free.
The dash is from an 80s Olds Cutlass
and the rest of the interior is custom or 90s Grand Am.
The interior is in great shape.
It has tilt wheel and a nice Alpine CD player.
It has a great set of Halibrand alloy wheels.
There are a couple of spots that will need attention,
most of them are on the right front fender.
The paint is chipped from the RF fender where the garage door rubbed against it.
There is rust starting at the bottom and a little bubbling of
the paint at the top of the fender.
There is also a little rust starting at the bottom of the trunk lid.
Check out the pics, Ive tried to show all of the rust on the car.
The car is very solid.
It runs and drives excellent and goes down the road straight.
Its a great cruiser, last fall I drove it to South Jersey and Long Island.
It even has ice cold air conditioning.
I will have the car professionally detailed before the new owner picks her up.
Fly in and DRIVE it home.
