1964 Corvette Convertible with FACTORY A/C!
This beautiful Corvette is an excellent driver quality car.
I bought this car 10 years ago, and have a few pounds of receipts
for all the work thats been done to it.
All work performed has been done with an eye towards originality.
Though this is not a numbers matching car,
if you have no intention of showing it an NCRS shows, does it really matter?
This car has most of the major options offered in 1964, including: FACTORY A/C,
power steering, power brakes, power windows, automatic transmission, AM/FM radio,
and real knock off wheels.
The transmission has been changed from a weak Powerglide unit to a freshly rebuilt TH350.
For safety, the drum brakes have been converted to front discs,
and stop the car quickly and in a straight line.
Though all the A/C components are present and operational, the system leaks.
Heat works well, and the blower motor operates as designed,
as do all the factory gauges, and the rebuilt speedometer.
The clock was converted to quartz, and keeps perfect time.
The knock off wheels recently had pins installed
to keep the spinners from inadvertently loosening.
Most of the interior has been replaced since Ive owned the car.
Mechanically, the car runs very well.
The 327/300 engine starts immediately, and the choke on the rebuilt Carter
idles high when cold, settling down to a satisfying rumble when ready to move out.
The exhaust system is recent, as is the custom DeWitt aluminum radiator,
the brake master cylinder and booster, water pump and battery.
The headlight doors work properly, and all lights work perfectly.
