1968 Mustang Shelby GT500.
Very nice all original GT500 Shelby, one of 1,044 built in 1968,
with just over 68,000 miles total.
Present owner has owned for the past 8 years and has
put a grand total of 4k miles in this time frame.
All replacement parts have been sourced from OEM sources correct
for the 1968 model,including the fuel pump, spark plugs, hoses and wires.
Carburetor is original that has been rebuilt and flow tested and calibrated.
The rear end has been changed from tall highway gears to a 3:50 ratio unit,
other than the rear end this car is true to its original build sheet.
Sheet metal on car is 100% original has never been damaged or had any rust repair ever.
Paint is several years old but looks like it was just done it is that nice.
Interior is all original with the exception of the carpet
and some repair sticking done to the edge of the drivers seat.
All suspension is original with the addition of period correct Koni shocks.
Tires are like new with excellent original Shelby wheels.
Chrome and stainless are in excellent condition, with the exception
being the rear bumper,it has some small pitting on the top edge but
owner has chosen not to replace because it is the original part.
The only part needing attention is the A/C compressor
it has been disconnected due to a broken rod internally.
This is a true survivor Shelby that has been well maintained
and preserved by it owners.
