I am selling both of my 1983 postal jeeps. Same year, identical, different colors. Both have 151 4 cylinder motors, both right hand drive. The body is pretty rusted on one, but the motor is in great shape. The other is solid body wise, but the motor has started to smoke when I idle (white smoke). I am currently using this one on a delivery route and both run good. Both need some brake work...one more than the other. Nothing else major. Between the two of them..... 1 new battery, one new positive battery cable, gas tank resealed, carb kit, both trannys have been rebuilt sometime in the recent past (bought these earlier this year so only know what I was told on the trannys), new alternator. As far as I know, both of these have the pontiac 151 "Iron Duke" motor, with automatic Chrysler transmissions.
Anyway, I am trying to decide if there is any interest on here. If I don't hear from someone I will probably just put them on Ebay. Let me know. Negotiable on the price. I also have the postaljeep service manual for this model which is very thorough and runs about 40 or 50 bucks I think if you go buy it. Email me if you think you may be interested and we can talk. Note: I said both of these were in Pryor, actually at the moment, both are at the Catoosa Post Office (outside of Tulsa)....also, both are 2 wheel drive. | | | | |
