'33 Ford Speedstar Custom Hot Rod .
This car was built by Ed Gleason of Ed's Body Shop in Tooelle, Utah,
who has built a number of custom cars
and restored some vintage models worth over $200,000.
The project was begun in 2000 and took 4 1/2 years to finish.
By the time it was done my father was in his 80s
and having physical difficulties,
so he only drove the car around the block a few times a year.
Knowing he would be selling the car he thought
the new owner would prefer
to choose how the interior would be done.
One of his short drives was to a nearby car show
where this car won Best Hot Rod
even with the interior unfinished.
The mileage on the odometer shows about 480 miles now,
but that is because it racked up mileage
at four times what it actually is
till we calibrated the speedometer a few miles ago.
Actual mileage is about 150.
The fuel gauge needs to be calibrated, which hasn't been done
because one needs to drive out a full tank of gas to do that.
The gauge can read either gallons remaining
or percent of remaining fuel.
The stereo plays both cassettes and CDs.
All the paper work regarding parts is available.
The car has been licensed and inspected,
and we'll throw in a cloth car cover.
