My father got this parrot about 30 years ago, from someone who somewhat abused her or him (not sure)she/he is not as mean or afraid as she/he used to be years ago. She DOES need someone with alot of patience and training. She/him has come a long way, it used to be that you couldn't get close to her, without her going crazy NOW you can, sometimes touch her head but always with caution. She has NEVER been sick in the years that my father has had her. The reason why we can not keep her is, my father went to live in South America, my husband has kidney failure and had a stroke and I'm afraid of birds,if this bird only knew that I fear her more then she/he fears me. Please email me with any question. REMEMBER I'll looking for someone who has loving patience and training know how. She/he does make cat,dog water noises and say words names but I think she is a little shy she/he speaks more when shes alone. Email me and I'll answer any questions. I just want someone who will work with her, teach and train her, something I can't do. EMAIL ME AT ......

I can't say that's she is tame, tame to me would be that she would allow you to touch her, that you could place her on your shoulder, (that she is not.) That's why I'm looking for someone who can train and teach her. Like I listed in my listing , she has come a long way, from the way she used to be. When my father left to live in South America my husband took over the bird, he started slowly each day until he was able to place his hands inside the cage (always with caution) to feed her and change her water, then she would allow him to pet her head every now and then. But then my husband had his stroke and wasn't able to care for her anymore. That's when I came in, like I said I'm very much afraid of birds. ( I don't know why but I am ) To feed her I have a long spoon and to change her water I take the whole cage outside and hose it down and change her water. That's the best I can do. She does not attack she just doesn't trust, maybe she still remembers years ago her abuse. Will she bite ( oh yes ). The only thing I can suggest is if you live near by, you can stop by to see her and see how she is and does. She is a good bird. She just needs someone that can help her trust, and you know that takes time. But like I said your more then welcome to see her if you like. The price that I listed is also negotiable.
Thank you
