This book was originally written to give the L Word a run for it's money. There are not nearly enough Lesbian themed shows out there for us to choose from. The author of Alpha Female, wrote the book in hopes that we as Lesbians would have other options when choosing our viewing pleasures. If you take the time, I know that you too will see the possibilities of Alpha Female.
The characters (all Lesbian Women) are solid, and real. I love the idea of the L Word, and hate that it is slated to end after it's sixth season. We need something, that if to not compete with, then to replace it(the L Word).
Alpha Female is not only the next in line to do that, but it will be the first to show us a somewhat more ruthless, yet realistic side of our dating habits. The Women of Alpha Female, are who the Women of the L Word, grow up to be. Alpha's Jordan, makes Shane look like a newbie.
It's definitely worth checking out:
Believe me when I say, it's definitely worth a look. We need more choices, and I believe that Alpha Female should be one. PASS IT ON!!!
