This angle kit is used to setup an internal frame for your canvas wall tent.
This kit is for a tent with three rafters. There are nine pieces to this kit. It is ideal for 8'x10', 10'x12' or 12'x14' wall tents that have a 120 degree (30 degree) roof pitch.
This kit is manufactured in my shop (Made In USA). For simplicity, all nine pieces are the same. You don't need a left or right or a ridge piece. This makes life easier not worrying about which piece is the correct angle!!
The kit is sized to accept 1-3/8" O.D. top rail fence tubing (tubing not included). The top rail can be bought locally (Home Depot has it).
You cut it the length you need. This will save you money $$$.
If you are using a tent where there might be a snow load, we recommend a 4 rafter kit. Contact us for a cost of a 4 rafter ange kit.
For bigger tents, email us for rafter kits to fit.
Please specify the following info so I can tell you what angle the rafter kit would have to be.
1. Unpack your tent and unfold the front wall (the side with the door in it) of the tent.
2. Measure the length of the wall From bottom of wall (ignore the sod cloth in the measured length) to the eve (at the point where the wall meets the roof).
3. Measure the roof from the eve to the ridge (still from the front wall)
4. Measure (from the front wall) from the ridge (peak of tent, front wall) to the bottom of the front wall (ignore sod cloth in measurement length if any).
Write these measurements down and email me these dimensions. I can then tell you if our standard angle kit will work with your tent or if you want a custom kit made. either way you will know what you have to work with whether you buy from us or somebody else.
Note:
This kit is designed for use with 1-3/8" OD pipe for fencing top rail. Fencing top rail usually has a necked down swaged end on one side so long sections can be put together. To join these sections together a larger pipe coupling is used. This kit is not designed to butt two rail sections of pipe together, only to slide the top rail sections through the angle kits.
Most people want short sections of top rail so they can pack on their four wheelers etc.
