This horse is absolutely beautiful. She has great movement and is sensible. She was gotten from an older couple that could no longer afford their horses. She may have never had her feet done by a farrier, but she tried to be good the first time and she gets them done tomorrow so we will see if she is even better. When we got her she basically knew how to walk on a leadline and she had the idea of how to pick up her feet. She has not been broke to ride, but I have had her on lunge line and she will WTC with a saddle on. I put her bridle on this morning and all she was interested in was eating her hay. I think she is going to be very easy once she is under saddle. I will probably not be able to break her for a couple of weeks but her price will increase as her training increases. She is very trusting and sensible, I have even gotten her to step on the tarp that covers our shavings. She is very smart and very sweet. She has had shots, farrier, and dentist (she was very good especially since she had to have her wolf teeth out) I expect that she will excel in the show ring whether english or western. She would probably even make someone a nice broodmare if that is what you wanted her to do. I would like to find her a home soon so that I have room to take in another ottb. UPDATE: I have started her under saddle and as suspected, she was as easy as I thought. She stood still and let me on and off several times and even walked around a few circles for me. She had almost mastered the crossties and she picks up her feet very well now. If she is isn't balanced when she picks them up, she may lean on you with her back feet a bit, but not like she did when we got her and she would all but fall over. What a sweet mare. I am not usually a big mare fan but when I saw this horse, I had to get her out of the situation she was in and I had a great feeling about her...so glad it turned out to be right, she is fabulous. I really like her and want to find her a really nice home to finish her and make her into something for them. Please email for pics of her -- she is very pretty, a real eye catcher.
