Maison de la reine is a classic half timbered house once belonging to Marguerite de Bourgogne Comptess of Tonnerre. It is situated in the wine growing village of Ligny le Chatel 9kms from the world famous vineyards of Chablis. The house dates from the 12th Century and has seen restoration over the centuries.
On the ground floor there are two living areas, a fully fitted modern kitchen and a large dining room, from the kitchen steps lead down to the flower garden where there a patio dining area and barbecue.
On the first floor there are six bedrooms all with private facilities, three double and three twin rooms. The décor through out the house is a mixture of modern and antique furnishings. | | | | |
