Multi colored paper architectural construction within a plexiglass box frame. The structure closely depicts a ladder. This piece competed by Blake Alexander, Dallas.
The handmade Paper is abaca paper, derived from the musa textilis plant, found in the Philipines.
This example of Ms. Alexandr's paper was achieved by laminating sheets of hand formed paper on felt. Then when paper had dried, hand painted reeds were applied to create the heavy and dimensional texture.
