This engine was pulled from a 1971 corvette. It ran good but smoked at start up. It has a CE designation on the block I.D. pad. I understand that the CE designation means that it was a GM warranty replacement engine, the date code implies that it was replaced in 1974. The engine is complete with distributor which has the original mechanical tachometer drive, it also has an edelbrock intake and a small Holley four barrel.
