Carpet restretching removes buckles and greatly improves the appearance of your carpets. We can also repair seams, burn spots, patch holes and install new metals where the carpet and tile meet.
Carpet repair services are an important part of our business. With the high cost of quality carpeting, it is only logical to pay a relatively small amount to fix unsightly structural damage such as burns, missing rows, tears, or open seams.
The most common repair work we perform is restretching. We have restretched and reinstalled both commercial and residential carpet. Restretching is the only solution to fix wrinkles or rolls in wall-to-wall carpeting. We have also repaired seams that have been opened or torn away by animals. We can also graft new fibers in to replace individual burned or missing fibers, or even perform a bonded insert, where a damaged carpet area is removed and replaced with an undamaged one.
Some carpets may wrinkle over a period of time. Poor installation, humidity, or a backing that has lost its strength can all cause carpet to wrinkle. All of these situations can be corrected by having one of our qualified carpet technicians restretch the carpet.
We can repair holes, burns, and tears by replacing the damaged area with a matching piece of carpet, usually taken from a closet area. The closet carpet can then be replaced with a matching piece of carpet remnant found at a carpet distributor.
When seams begin to come apart, they can easily be re-seamed by one of our knowledgeable technicians using a seaming iron and seaming tape.
