Space Traveler I(48"HX40”WX40"D). A fantasy space traveler sits atop three wide spread balancing arms, ready for flight. The piece is painted green and made of welded metal. The extended arms are painted metal rods with painted pipe nipples at the end of the arms that are filled with sand to provide a very steady balance (outdoor piece that will withstand strong winds).The top piece (space traveler and extended arms) is removable from the stand, which is mounted into a concrete base.
This is a piece of original art made by Robert Maker (1944-1993). Other examples of his work are available at the link listed below.
