We are a modern design construction and contracting company that has begun to create these "mini MODs" for our clients due to popular demand for smaller, less costly, more energy efficient homes and bonus structures. In this era of economic uncertainty, many people need to downsize but don't want to sacrifice aesthetics in the process. Others, concerned about environmental issues, choose the mini MOD because it uses much less energy than a typical home and can save them thousands of dollars on utility bills, or (if they choose our solar powered MODs) even keep them from paying utilities at all!
Our company, City Design, has been in the construction and design business for over 5 years. We are a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and use environmentally sustainable techniques in all of our projects, including at least 50% recycled materials, solar panels, self-composting toilets, green insulation, etc.

The mini-MOD concept allows you to “add-on” to your home. Instead of buying a shed, the MOD has many possible uses. You can in fact use it as storage, but the advantages of installed carpet, operable windows, heater/AC unit, insulation, and outlets/lighting can operate for multiple uses: such as an office or a private room that can fit the needs of just about anything.

You can pick up your mod at our Denver showroom (1445 S. Sheridan Blvd) for free (we'll also ship it free within a 150 mi radius), or we can ship it (freight fees apply) to your location within the continental U.S. We can also assemble or even build a MOD at your site for an additional fee.
In addition to the mini MOD offered here, we would be happy to work with you to create a custom mini. You can customize your mini mod with solar paneling, virtually any exterior or interior finishing material, specialty lighting, appliances, etc. We have also worked with past clients to create bulk order MODs for specialized use such as at campgrounds and communes. We offer deep discounts for multiple orders.
