This is a very nice Pair of George III Solid Silver Large Sauce/Gravy Ladles. They are in the fiddle pattern and they both have very fancy initials engraved on the terminals, but they are so decorative that I cannot make them out. These are of a good guage of silver and of good quality. The hallmarks are very clear, but there is no Leopard's head (the Assay Office for London) but they can only be London.
Assay Office: LONDON
Date: 1813
Makers Marks: M.S over E.S
Dimensions: 7 inches long, the bowls 2.5 inches wide and 2 inches long. The total weight of silver is 3.7/8 oz (110g)
Condition: They are both in very good condition
Remarks: This is a super Pair of 195 year old George III Large Sauce/Gravy Ladles and ideal for use for spooning out large amounts of sauces or perfect for serving gravy or even custard. If you did not want to use them they are a must for any collector of Antique Georgian Silver
