Employment Opportunity - Kirkland WA
Seeking resident manager for 20 one-bedroom view apartment building across the street from Lake Washington and an easy walk to waterfront park and resort-like downtown Kirkland.
Ideal for retired or semi-retired couple or single with retirement or other part-time income.
Experience and training in property management, real estate, business management, marketing, bookkeeping, general contracting, or other related fields may be very helpful but are not prerequisites.
Apartment manager must be a non-smoker and have good habits. He/she must enjoy working with people and understand the importance of maintaining schedules. He must be conscientious, considerate, dependable, detail-concerned, and take pride in seeing to it that the building and grounds are maintained in excellent condition at all times. Our residents are quiet, respectful, and very important to us. A number of them are very long term (as was a previous management husband/wife team who managed the apartment for over twenty-five years). It was a very satisfying and good experience for all concerned, and of course we would like to see a similar situation develop, but are taking one step at a time. The location, the good tenants, the quiet but welcoming atmosphere, as well as knowledgeable, involved owners all contribute to making this position an excellent opportunity for the right individual or couple. (Sorry no pets are allowed.)
Monthly salary $1000-up, depending on managers involvement in the maintenance of the property.
