This flute has been overhauled, and plays like a dream. It has that silky sweet tone that Ws Haynes is known for, and also has plenty of movement and projection.
It is on the darker scale (A 440 hz), slightly darker than the 442 hz flutes, or 444 / 445 very bright pitched flutes.
Perfect for an adult player, Jazz musician, flautist that wants a different sound and balanced flute.
It feels good in the hands, perhaps is a lighter wall (.014 - .015 wall thickness, and is just a gem to play.
It is a solid silver flute, with Ws Haynes Case, rod.
It is a vintage piece of history, collector item, and players flute (it really sounds great and feels great in the hands).
Made in 1918. Made to order for the US Military Quarter Masters band (USQMC). Made to last forever.
