Blossom is a 3 year old Spectacled White Front Amazon parrot of the 'nana-nana' species, (Smallest of Amazon parrots). Blossom comes with her Hatch date certificate and DNA certificate.
Blossom is between 6-7" long from head to tip of her beautiful, broad tail. She is beautifully feathered with her white forehead and unusually shades of teals and blues on the top of her head and forehead. She has red spectacles and bright royal and navy blue side wing feathers. which she successfullly hides unless showering or flapping her wings and she has red and yellow tips on some of the wings. She presents her broad tail of yellows and reds when she is upset with something - usually the birds she sees outside her window. She has varied greens throughout the her plumage, which is dense and lush. Blossom comes with her large cage with an attached play top, its personalized cover, play stand, new travel carrier, beddy-bye she plays hide and seek and peek-a-boo in, toys too numerous to list, dishes of all types and sizes to fit both cage and playstand. Extra foods, Blossom has a wonderful vocabulary, does some neat things on command, Blossom is used to being with me nearly every daylight hour. She needs a new home with the same attention. I no longer can give her that since I'm having to go outside the home to make money. Blossom is suffering from being separated from her favorite human. She hatched April of 2005 and I got her from the breeder the beginning of September 2005. She has been a delight and such a source of encouraging companionship. She loves to take her showers under a faucet sprayer in the kitchen sink.
Blossom is accustomed to our 'grand-dogs' who we dog sit for many times a year. She watches our cat at her glass windowed door. She calls 'here kitty, kitty, kitty' then will whistle for her like she's heard us whistle for the dogs. She is accustomed to our parrotlet, although they are never allowed outside the cages together. :D Blossom also says, 'meow, meow' when she calls the cat. There are so many things that she says at the appropriate times and situations that I no longer believe parrots only mimic! If you have any questions, please email me at any time. I will be taking a loss on both Blossom and her belongings, but I'm more concerned about finding her a better situation in a FOREVER HOME. I will NOT ship and must meet and personally interview Blossom's potential owner(s). Blossom is used to being around our grandchildren but they are too small to handle her. She will do the 'play-dead' trick with my husband and allow him to hold and pet her, but if I am close she will always try to get to me from him.
I will be happy to give you references and would expect the same of anyone who asks. Thank you
