I have a 16 week old green cheek, very nice and lovable and is handled daily. The situation is that I bought it to be a companion to my sun conure because my work schedule has become more demanding and I’m not able to give my sun the attention it was used to. Unfortunately the sun has not taken well to the green cheek. I have tried everything the vet has suggested to socialize them together; an d nothing has worked to this point. I don’t know if the bird is a male or female because the breeder didn’t do a DNA prior to me buying the bird. The bird’s name is Pippin and is aware of the name. He/she is showing signs of maybe becoming a talker, it can say its name Pippin, “Pretty Pretty”, “Pretty bird”, and when you go by Pippin’s cage it will say “out”, it also makes kissing noises. Now these words are not real clear yet, and I cannot guarantee that the bird will become a talker. When Pippin talks and makes his little noises, he usually does it in the cage, but I have not yet had success in having him talk outside the cage so far. He is too busy being nosy and playing. I have even taught Pippin to go bathroom in the toilet. When Pippin is first brought out of the cage first thing in the morning and rushed to the toilet and if you say “Go Poopy” several times, Pippin usually goes to the bathroom in it. Pippin loves to sit on your shoulder and play with toys. Pippin is used to being socialized with children and dogs. I am asking $150 cash. A bag of food and his favorite toys will come with Pippin.
