This Victorian Mahogany double-ended chaise longue has been lovingly restored to the highest standard.All the joints are solid with no woodworm or serious damage to the frame.
The rich dark mahogany show wood has been french polished with no staining required to achieve this illustrious finish.
Using only traditional materials and methods the chaise has been fully re-upholstered,the seat being coil sprung using horsehair for extra comfort,rather than a hard horsehair cushion which can be very firm and they move about a lot.The balusters have been handmade and finished with complimenting cord and tassle.
The beautifull shape of the chaise,the curve of the arms,the turned leg with brass castor,the simple lines of the showwood and the nice proportions along with the stunning linwood designer fabric(dark/light cherry pink cartouche with golden verdigris background) make this sofa an exceptional and rare piece that i offer to you.
