I really hate to have to this (sell him) but each and every day it hurts me worst considering that with work and school I have very little free time to dedicate to him and you can tell he really wants to interact with someone.
Green Cheek Conure
Approximately three years old.
Male.
NOTE: His wings are *not* clipped and he has full flight capability.
Attributes:
Just like any other bird in the parrot family they can be quite vocal at times. He is not overly vocal but can be at times; generally when you walk in the front door he will greet you and sometimes when you walk out of the room he is in he will tell you to "come back".
He loves attention (people).
Responds well to any individual (see above - loves attention).
However will bond more so to a single individual (the one who spends the most time with him).
Loves to be petted (lightly rubbed). Especially under the beak and by his ears (which frequently makes him yawn repeatedly).
Doesn't like people with facial hair (mustache).
Willing to spend the entire day out of his cage with just one person.
Will fall asleep in your shirt pocket in the evenings.
Throughout the two years I have owned him he has only bitten me four or five times (mostly due to being startled in the middle of the night); however, never hard enough to draw blood.
This bird would be ideal for someone who is willing to spend a decent amount of time with him out of the cage interacting with the bird on a daily basis.
He has shown interest in interacting (grooming) other birds. One example would be my father's cockatiel.
-The Cage-
This is a mansion of a cage for such a little bird.
Dimensions are: 63" X 25" X 37".
The cage can be split in to two sections in order to house two birds and keep them isolated.
It features four doors which swing open for easy access.
Two attachments to create landings at adjustable levels.
On wheels with roller locks.
